The thrust on academic excellence in the classroom has
been accompanied by an effort to build up the Vidyalaya
as co-educational residential institution. To create the
feeling "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" The House
System of Vidyalaya functions as an effective instrument
for the development of personality and creativity of
students. It furthers team spirit, by involving students
in a variety of co curricular and extra curricular
activities. The Inter House competitions, organisational
responsibilities, Games, Sports & Art in educational
activities help students to groom themselves into
competent & self-confident individuals. The value of
dignity of labour & concern for environment is sought to
be incorporated by self-help activities that are part &
parcel of the daily schedule of Vidyalaya. Teachers who
stays in residence provide teaching help after class
hours through remedial teaching sessions held in the
afternoons. Teachers as House Masters or House
Mistresses maintain a close association with students
and provide the necessary guidance to children.
Games & Sports:-
Games and Sports are the integral part of
catering Team spirit, leadership qualities, discipline
along with physical fitness, neuromuscular skills. It
also promote the spirit of cooperation and sportsman.
Apart from the same, young talents are identified at an
early stage and are helped to excel in their chosen
field by specialized coaching through PETs/SAI (Sports
Authority of India) Coaches at selected venues.
Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti
organizes school level, cluster level, regional level
and national level competitions in sports and games
every year. Specialised courses like, Archery, Judo and
Gymnastic are also encouraged in some of the JNVs
situated in the tribal areas of the country where the
same are popular sports.
Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti is a state
under School Games Federation of India and the Navodaya
National teams compete with other state teams under SGFI
banner. The progress made by the vidyalaya on sports
front is commendable.
Scouts and Guides/NCC:-
Scout & Guides movement was started by Lord Barden Powel
& Lady Barden Powel at London in 1899.
Scout & Guides aimed for character development towards
happy citizenship through natural rather than artificial

Many Students from the school have
excelled themselves and brought laurels and have
represented school in several activities.
The school is recognized as a state for

presented in Rajya Puraskar and some have
participated in Jamboree and other National level

The Vidyalaya is proud of being a Pace -Setting school
endeavouring to be a role model in the district. We

Shramadan in the nearby villages, i.e., Dr. Banjari,
